Meter Data Management Software (MDMS)
The Meter Data Management System (MDMS) is a core component of Unique’s smart metering platform, which is structured around three main layers:
• Data Collection
• Meter Data Management
• Customer-Facing Applications

The MDMS is typically hosted in the cloud but can also be deployed on a local server, depending on the customer's needs.

System Integration
Seamlessly integrates with the customer’s existing systems, such as billing platforms, prepayment vending systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools.
Smart Meter Management
Serves as a centralized tool for managing and maintaining smart meters. It enables:
• Real-time alerts and event notifications
• Remote disconnection and reconnection of meters
• Power limitation controls
• Status checks and diagnostics
• Notifications in case of power outages
Billing and Reporting
Supports the generation of accurate and periodic billing based on collected meter data.
Additionally, the MDMS can integrate with prepayment vending platforms, enabling customers to purchase electricity and automatically update their meters with the purchased amount.


STS Compliant Pre-payment Vending Software
Unique’s STS Compliant Pre-payment Vending Software allows electricity customers to buy electricity, at the following premises:
• Utility offices
• Third party vendors
• Internet portal on Utility website.
• Mobile Application
Key Features:

Multi-Channel Access
Customers can purchase prepaid electricity through utility offices, third-party agents, the utility’s website, or the mobile app.
Mobile Application
Available for both iOS and Android users, the app allows customers to buy electricity and view or read their own meter data.
Online Portal
The web-based portal offers customers access to their full purchase history, and enables direct electricity purchases.
Remote Meter Updates
Subject to connectivity, the solution supports automatic remote loading of purchased units to the electricity meter.
Receipts and Tokens
Physical receipts and tokens can be printed for manual input into the meter. Alternatively, electronic receipts and tokens can be delivered via SMS, email, or directly through the app.
System Integration:
The software includes a robust integration layer that supports both legacy and modern enterprise systems.
On-demand custom integrations can be developed to interface with unsupported systems.
For third-party vending platforms (e.g., ATMs), the software can receive purchase confirmations and either:
• Remotely load the meter with purchased units (if connected), or
• Issue a token to be manually entered by the customer.
Custom Branding:
The solution is fully white-labeled and can be tailored to match the utility provider’s branding, including colors, logos, and user interface elements.
